I'm Not Shocked
The slayings of a young couple and pregnant woman show the dangers of warped media narratives.
Radicalized people are openly celebrating the horrific killings of a young DC couple and a pregnant Israeli woman. In New York, a group falsely calling itself “anti-war” praised the slayings of Israeli embassy staffers Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim. And, shocker, the murderer proudly announced his action, after years of echoing all the pro-terror chants and lies that Islamist terrorists have pushed into the global mainstream.
Palestinians, meanwhile, were already busy extolling the “heroic” murder of Tzeela Gez, who was on the way to a hospital to give birth. The New York Times actually took a one-second break from its Israel-is-wrong-about-everything-always unwritten mandate to at least allow a headline writer to publish this: “Hamas Celebrates Shooting That Killed Israeli Mother en Route to Deliver Baby.”
But even this headline shows how twisted the media has become. When Hamas provides nonsensical “death tolls,” the media attributes the “Ministry of Health.” When Hamas terrorists are killed, the media calls them “Palestinians.” In those cases, Palestinians are portrayed as victims with no responsibility for the violence they overwhelmingly support. But when it’s a celebration of slaughter, the media limits its description to “Hamas.”
Meanwhile, the same big news agencies covering these attacks are ignoring their own role in fueling this violence, as I’ve discussed in recent episodes.
Sadly, I’m not shocked by these killings. Are you?
Hamas is a death cult, and operates with all of the tactics of a cult. Its global reach is greatly aided by false media narratives — not only from Qatar’s lying, state-owned propaganda giant Al Jazeera, but from the biggest “mainstream” news outlets as well. In their telling, terrorism can be downplayed or justified as a response to big, bad militaries. In reality, democracies like the United States and Israel need militaries to protect their citizens from terrorists. And Islamist terrorist attacks are becoming far more frequent.
