The Media Was Wrong About the Elections

Undoing the damage requires learning how we got here.

No matter where you usually stand politically, you have good reason to be alarmed by damage Trump is inflicting. The chaotic destruction of parts of the government we count on and pay for; the economic turmoil; the destroyed alliances that have long made our nation safer — all of this and more in just over two months.

Responding to this requires building a new American majority. And that means recognizing what Americans are looking for. It’s crucial to start with a giant reality check about the 2024 elections.

Exit polls were wrong. Media spin was wrong. Far left narratives were wrong. In the new episode of They Stand Corrected, I dig into the first extensive study of the electorate, and what it tells us about the country and the media.

I explain why a study from Blue Rose Research is the first high quality examination of the election. Among its findings: There was no big exodus of Black voters from Democrats over to Trump. Young people did not want Kamala Harris to move further to the left. She would not have done better if she had given in to “progressive” hate groups that prioritize their antisemitism above their concerns for democracy, equality, women’s rights, and everything else.
