The media is hacking our subconscious minds
How crime, politics, and hate campaigns manipulate the connectome
“It's like a game of Monopoly. Whoever owns the most physical territory in the brain wins.” That’s what an expert tells me in the new episode. Here’s what the news is doing to our subconscious minds — and how we can fight back.
In this episode:
How journalists became so deluded that they instinctively flout basic standards
What part of the brain lights up when committed Democrats and Republicans argue
Why new data on violent crimes fly in the face of Trump’s claims
How the mainstream media has helped one type of crime reach historic levels
Why the ‘placard strategy’ works in poisoning people against Israel
Why sources differ on how much each president increased the national debt
and lots more.
Details to come in the next newsletter. For now, I invite you to listen and learn why the Brand Connectome is such a powerful way of envisioning how people decide where they stand on just about anything.
This is how the media is hacking our subconscious. But it’s also how we can work together to push people toward truth.

Agreed. I’m sorry Josh that you have been forced to have a front row seat to abandonment of journalistic integrity… the fact that journalism is no longer optimized for truth but rather a false sympathy narrative that has aspects that get debunked on a regular basis and it’s not triggering any red flags… how many times has Hamas been caught in lies? How many times have previously fairly safe media sources had to apologize during this war…
Previously If a journalist used a bad source it was a stain on their credibility…. Today it’s dismissed and the slate wiped clean ready for the next libel… and again no red flags…
