The journalists who helped Epstein
A New York Times reporter tipped him off, and a bestselling author advised him on matters involving Trump.
The initial release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein in recent days has been, largely, a media story. While partisans rushed to weaponize the information involving the notorious sex trafficker, there have also been stunning revelations about the press.
One involves a New York Times reporter who tipped off Epstein about a journalist looking into him. The other involves Michael Wolff, a best-selling author who advised Epstein to use his relationship with (then presidential hopeful) Donald Trump for “political currency.”
These acts went far beyond impropriety. They were clear violations of ethics, eroding whatever integrity remains of the already disastrous news industry. In the new episode, I break down the details, share contents of the emails, and explain why all this has big implications for the news you consume every day.
