The Devious Tactic Antisemites Use to Sway News Agencies
People who support the creation of a new Islamist empire have learned how to make anti-Israel bias in news even worse.
Hello all! This is the third newsletter accompanying Episode 13, in which I covered multiple topics. To receive all the newsletters, be sure to subscribe.
In the episode, I tackled this question from a listener:
Hi, Josh, this is Michelle from Rockville, Maryland. Your show is fantastic and it really sheds light on a lot of things, including the media bias against Israel in particular. And you mentioned that rules exist in the media about this. I'd like to know why these rules exist, especially throughout the history. It sounds like these rules have been in place for a number of years, so I'd love to know the whole story of why those rules exist in the media. Thanks for everything you do.
Thanks much to Michelle and to all of you who are so supportive of They Stand Corrected.
In answering this question, I explained a sneaky but effective tactic that antisemites use to convince news executives to turn a blind eye to anti-Israel bigotry — in fact, to make that bigotry even worse. It’s something I had not yet touched on in the show.
The tactic helps explain backward reporting like this, which I called out, from The Guardian.
What you can do
Anytime you see or hear anyone in the news agency use a “both sides” argument, claiming that people also complaint that the news is “too pro-Israel,” send an email to the agency’s top executives. Quote what you saw, and then add this:
As the podcast They Stand Corrected explains, antisemites have learned to manipulate news agencies this way. If you put truth first, which requires both facts and context, you will recognize the deeply ingrained anti-Israel bias in the news, and finally start giving your audience an accurate understanding of what Israel faces.

New episode coming tomorrow. Spread the word!
Thanks all,
