CBS' Ta-Nehisi Coates Disaster Currently Leading the Media Fail Awards
New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, BBC gaining steam as well
Votes are coming in for the Media Fail Awards. If you haven’t yet, be sure to vote soon at mediafailawards.com:
In Episode 36 of They Stand Corrected, I start talking you through the nominees.
And thanks to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, these awards are the subject of my latest op-ed.
The voting continues through December 20. ALL the nominated news agencies will hear about it. So please share this and get everyone you know to vote.
As I type this, the current leaders for biggest single fail are CBS for its post-debate fiasco involving Ta-Nehisi Coates (broadcast category) and the New York Times acknowledging to me that it leaves up false information (text category). For the biggest overall failed news agencies, CNN and the BBC are currently tied among broadcasters, and the Washington Post and NY Times are tied among text-based outlets. But new votes keep coming in, so the race could change dramatically before voting closes.
