Answering Jon Stewart on 'Hawking,' and Awaiting 'Groveling Apologies'
How journalists break their compact with you
In trying to get more of your money, news agencies are violating basic ethics. In the new episode of They Stand Corrected, something everyone should understand about a story involving Trump, Biden, and big media failures:
“This goes directly against the compact that journalists make with you, the audience. The idea is we want you to buy the newspaper, sign up for the website, or contribute, or something like that. In exchange, we provide you the news there. We are not supposed to use news platforms to push products to enrich one of us.”
I answer questions from Jon Stewart on The Daily Show, and share behind-the-scenes details of an experience I had at CNN, in which the entire network was specifically instructed to take part in a violation of journalistic standards, selling a CNN personality’s book. Also, how fake humility is further destroying mainstream media’s credibility.
Plus: The more the media lies, the more dangerous America becomes.
On Sky News Australia, commentator Andrew Bolt points out that these dangers are known. He discusses the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy in 1968 by a Palestinian man. And he shows how the recent terrorist attacks on Jews in the United States are driven by a media that keeps lying shamelessly.
“I guess you, like me now, await the groveling corrections… Haven't seen those corrections yet. But you now know how it is with the left, don't you? A lie isn't a lie if it's in the right cause. Their cause: hating Israel.”
I explain how these two stories show the forces controlling today’s media.
